FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: cylindrical working chamber of furnace is sealed chromium structure made in the form of cylindrical crucible that performs multiple functions of channel proper, crucible, and inductor heater. It is built up of two parts having different electrical resistance. Joint is made above reaction zone of cylindrical working chamber. Its top part has higher electrical resistance than bottom one. This factor provides for hydrogen preheating before its admission to reaction zone. Induction furnace of proposed mechanical design ensures increase in its charge and optimal conditions for reaction within working chamber, including due to separation of cold and hot zones and due to better interaction between hydrogen and charge.
