FIELD: information storage equipment. SUBSTANCE: direct-access storage equipment has multiple movement clippers and/or continuous movement clipper, which extends from at least base or cover. Each movement clipper has edges which are located in close proximity to opposite surfaces of disk for storage of information about peripheral disk part which has no information. Preferably, such movement clippers are located in several points about disk periphery and move about loading/unloading frame and/or side guides of device. Positions of edges of movement clippers are arranged so that when disk is subjected to acceleration, disk contacts at least one edge only in peripheral disk surface outside of information region. Respectively, clippers prevent information region and axle bearing from destruction when device falls. EFFECT: improved shock protection when device is subjected to acceleration forces, including situations when slider is not locked. 12 cl, 7 dwg
