FIELD: electronic engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has at least one disk mounted for rotation about axis, its opposite sides being used to store information. Magnetoresistor converter head is mounted for displacement across each respective surface of disk for signal writing and reading. Each head incorporates write member and read member. Preamplifier coupled with head functions to amplify read and write signals coming from respective members. Read and write signals are transmitted between preamplifier and heads by means of flexible cable that has common line for read-out and displayed signals for every series pair of converter heads.
