FIELD: protective shields of ballistic-resistant fabric used in bulletproof clothing of the vest and overall types. SUBSTANCE: the shield consists of a warp and overlapped fabric protective members locally fastened to the warp by tear-proof stitching threads and having no textile edges. The members are not fastened to one another or stitched by weakly tear-proof threads with a tension sufficient for their in-process fastening. The dimensions of the members are selected experimentally and make up 20 to 80 mm. The value of overlap at placing of the members on the warp should provide for integrity of the shield at its bending. All the components of the shield, the fabric threads of the protective members inclusive are drawn in counteraction to flying bullet or fragment. EFFECT: enhanced ballistic resistance. 6 cl, 5 dwg
