APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING FOOD WASTES TO PRODUCE FEEDS FOR FARM ANIMALS Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural equipment, in particular, processing of ground food wastes before or after sterilization at initial stage of feed production. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has housing, within which perforated driven conical drum is mounted. Size of perforations is decreasing through height of drum and cone angle is 34-38 deg. Apparatus is further provided with magnetic separator and feeder which supplies wastes onto surface of magnetic separator. The latter separates ferromagnetic particles. During rotation of drum food wastes are directed through perforations to be ground, and wastes other than food wastes are forced over upper edge of drum for further removal. EFFECT: increased efficiency, improved extent of cleaning wastes from contaminants, including particles of ferromagnetic nature, improved quality of feeds by increased homogenization of obtained product. 3 cl, 1 dwg
