FIELD: mining industry, in particular, equipment for gravitational concentration of high-density metals in water medium. SUBSTANCE: concentrator has housing, drive, separation chamber with heavy particle settling surface, water supplying system and concentrate collecting vessel. Outer funnel and double-walled inner cone are positioned in central opening of concentrator concentrically and in spaced relation one with respect to the other. Outer funnel has restrictor. Double-walled cone is provided with adjustable mounting rod. Separation chamber has section for receiving heavy particles, section for receiving average-density particles and section adapted for receiving low-density particles and provided with overflow wall disposed concentrically with respect to separation chamber wall. Drive has vortex exciter whose axis of rotation is extending perpendicular to heavy particle settling surface and oriented centrally of concentration zone.
