FIELD: assembling operations, namely screwing on and off large-size nuts at mounting-dismounting chocks of rolling rolls with bearing units. SUBSTANCE: in housing strut is mounted for carrying rotary collar with toothed rim on outer surface. There is seat for mounting nut on inner surface of said collar. Yoke with hydraulic cylinders mounted in housing is arranged on said collar. Toothed rim of collar engages with two rotary ratchet dogs having grooves and rotating relative to yoke. Ratchet dogs have rotation drive unit in the form of power cylinder with tie rod and two levers with pins. One ends of levers are joined with axles of dogs and their other ends are rotatably mounted on tie rod. Lever arranged nearer to power cylinder may perform linear motion relative to tie rod. Between tie rod axles carrying levers with ratchet dogs there is adjusting mechanism in the form of different-sign screw-nut pairs. Nuts are rigidly joined with axles of tie rod, screws are combined with tie rod and provided with rotation unit.
