FIELD: constructions of rolling stands of rolling mills, mainly of bar rolling double-roll mills. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes screws of screwdown mechanism arranged on cross beam of stand housing and nuts with worm rim for upper and lower rolls; rotation drive of nuts in the form of drive worm shafts. Apparatus is also provided with detachable shaft having mechanism for connection-disconnection of it and joined by its ends through worm connection unit with worm shafts of upper and lower nuts of screwdown mechanism. Screws of each pair are rigidly joined one with another. EFFECT: possibility for providing accurate mutual position of rolls due to separate or simultaneous mounting of upper and lower rolls. 5 dwg
