FIELD: electroplating, iron plating in process of execution of repair operations. SUBSTANCE: process includes preparation of worn-out surfaces of parts for iron plating followed by iron plating with the aid of electrolyte based on iron chloride. Iron plating is conducted by supply of alternating asymmetric current with frequency of 180-220 Hz and density of 2.5-25.0 A/sq. dm to electrodes. Minimum value of cathode-anode index is set at start of process which is gradually raised to maximum value. Iron is deposited till specified thickness of coat is obtained. EFFECT: reduced energy consumption, increased rate of deposition of electrolytic iron. 5 cl, 1 dwg
