FIELD: jewelry production. SUBSTANCE: method involves manufacturing mounting from separate members which are positioned in predetermined manner and secured one with respect to the other; cutting stone-receiving slot in monoblock by scanning geometry of section of stone adapted to be secured in slot. Mounting members may be made in the form of cube, parallelepiped or plate. Method allows mountings with different arrangement of plates and fastening technique to be produced.
