FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: enzyme treatment of flax fibers is conducted at 29-30 C and solution pH 4.5-5 using enzyme preparation of laccase of wood-degradation fungus Coriolus versicolor in presence of special-type redox mediator. Flax fibers are subjected to additional weak-alkalinity digestion before and after treatment. EFFECT: achieved fabrication of environmentally safe high-whiteness fibers for manufacturing low-linear density pure-flax yarn. 3 cl, 1 tbl, 6 ex
