FIELD: hand knitting of fabric or articles by needles. SUBSTANCE: method involves pulling working thread through related loop of previous course, with working thread being caught up in clockwise or counterclockwise direction; drawing working thread through first half of loop, with each newly formed loop having parallel legs in knitted fabric, or through second half of loop, with each newly formed loop having crossed legs in knitted fabric. When thread caught up in clockwise direction is drawn, each newly formed loop has right-hand turning direction, and when thread caught up in counterclockwise direction is drawn, each newly formed loop has left-hand turning direction. Method allows knitted fabric with required appearance and structural characteristics to be produced. EFFECT: wider technological capacities of hand knitting, improved quality and wider range of articles produced by method. 27 dwg
