FIELD: gas-and-oil producing industry. SUBSTANCE: method may be used in development of deposits of gaseous hydrocarbons confined to fractured reservoirs, selection of points of locations of prospecting, exploratory and development wells. The method includes complex of geophysical and well investigations within deposit. Based on obtained data are construction of seismic sections and their paleoreconstructions, determination with the help of constructed seismic sections of geological boundaries of producing formations. Fracture zones are located within deposit outline. Separated on seismic paleosections are districts of neotectonic formation movements and the districts are plotted on deposit structural maps. To separate the districts of neotectonic movements of formation, geological boundary of next formation is taken as horizontal following successively from top to bottom. For each next boundary, curve of its deflection from this straightened position is constructed. Then obtained paleoreconstructions are compared by superimposing of curves of respective formations. Separated on obtained curves are zones of transition from maximum amplitudes of movements to zone of their attenuation. Zones of neotectonic movements are detected by presence of deviations of curves in maximum number of paleoreconstructions. Producing wells are drilled on separated districts near fractures. EFFECT: higher efficiency of development of hydrocarbon deposits by optimization of locations of producing wells. 2 cl, 1 dwg
