FIELD: food industry. SUBSTANCE: additive contains silver and water. Colloidal silver content is proposed to be from 0.00001 to 0.01%, diameter of silver particles should be less than 1 mcm, and anticoagulant stabilizer (e. g. protein based) should be utilized dissolved in deionized water. Absence of stabilizer results in tens-fold reduced silver activity. In order to accelerate transport of silver through cellular phospholipid membranes, i. e. accelerate deep dissipation of cations in tissues, 0.1 to 30 wt % of transcourant conductor, in particular, dimethylsulfoxide or ephtiderm, is used. All compositions thus prepared possess bactericidal and disinfecting properties. In case of absorbing additives, adaptive possibilities of man are increased, fatigue reduced, capacity for work increased, and reparative processes enhanced. Compositions favorably affect hemopoiesis and metabolic processes, reduce toxic effect of biologically-active substances. Food additive is designed to enhance protective forces of body as prophylactic and correcting agent for patients with infectious diseases, especially in cases of respiratory and intestinal infections. Biological additive is advantageously applied in cases of adenovirus diseases, influenza, etc., chiefly during their highest propagation periods.
