FIELD: works of metallurgical and machine-building complex. SUBSTANCE: multidisc shears have composite cutting discs positioned on two parallel shafts, mechanism for taking-up of clearances between cutting edges of opposite-positioned cutting discs, devices for axial fixing of cutting discs on shafts, as well as intermediate and pressing rings. Each part of all composite cutting discs is shaped as a plate and has at least one tapered section and cylindrical section with cutting edge positioned on side of tapered section. Cylindrical section is adjacent to tapered section and perpendicular to shaft axis. In this case, parts of composite cutting discs are joined in pairs along bases of cylindrical sections. Every composite cutting disc is joined with neighboring ones along smaller bases of tapered sections. One parts of every composite cutting disc is provided with through recesses positioned over perimeter of cutting edge. Parts with through recesses are arranged on respective shaft with tapered sections directed to one side. The construction of shears makes it possible to reduce labor consumption of their manufacture and servicing and to decrease cost price of finished production.
