FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment intended for longitudinal cutting of strip material and may be used for production of wire by fan method. Proposed shears comprises alternating top and bottom disks fitted on parallel shafts and provided with first pair of rollers arranged on both sides of shears to press shears extreme disk against outer lateral surface, second and third pairs of rollers arranged on both sides of shears to press shears extreme top and bottom disk against outer lateral surface nearby point of output of cutout strip deflected upward and downward, respectively, from gap between adjacent disks. Shears comprise also mechanism driving rollers of each pair in cross movement.
EFFECT: reduced friction in cutting strip material into narrow strips.
