FIELD: metallurgy, namely equipment for melting and refining melts, ore concentrates and secondary raw materials in ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: converter with two rotation axes is provided with drive unit for rotating around lengthwise axis and unit for turning. Converter also includes housing with bandage secured to it. Bandage is supported by runners mounted in frame by cantilever fashion. Trunnion mounted in bearing assemblies of frame is secured to bottom of housing. Rotation drive unit is rigidly mounted in frame between bottom of housing and bearing assemblies of frame, is also includes tie rod fixing it against rotation. One end of tie rod is secured to frame. Tie rod has damping device. EFFECT: increased service life period of parts and members of running gear of rotation mechanism of converter, enhanced vibration-proof properties of converter. 3 dwg
