FIELD: metallurgy, namely apparatuses for reciprocation motion of spring type molds of continuous casting plants. SUBSTANCE: mechanism includes support frame mounted on base. Packs of leaf springs are secured to frame by means of fastening units. Said packs are arranged along edges of mold and they are spaced one from another in vertical direction. Hydraulic cylinders are mounted under lower packs. Rods of cylinder pistons rest upon corresponding fastening units. Leaf spring packs have two lengthwise parts arranged with mutual gap. Fastening units are provided with vertical stops mounted with gap relative to base of mechanism. Vertical stops have hinged double-arm levers. Spring packs also have tensioning device mounted in frame. EFFECT: enhanced strength of mechanism, possibility for eliminating skewing of mold at continuous casting process. 3 cl, 1 exp, 7 dwg
