SUBSTANCE: roller and screw mechanism has nut carrying rollers put on axles, screw with threaded grooves interacting with nut via rollers. Nut is made in the form of carriage with square hole. Rollers are placed inside square hole of nut. Axles of rollers are arranged perpendicular to axis of screw. Face surface of roller facing screw is made in the form of concave conical surface to locate at least one adjacent turn of screw thread. Outer face surface of roller is made in the form of convex conical surface. Working surface of roller is spherical with diameter d=(2t-b) cos γo, where t is thread pitch; b is width of vertex of thread turn; γo is inclination angle of helical line and center distant from line parallel to axis of screw and passing through point of tangency with side surface of threaded groove of screw by value e=d•cos αo, where αo is angle equal to half of angle of thread profile.
