FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: mechanism is used for conversion of rotary motion to forward motion and vice versa. Mechanism has lead screw and nut with rollers mounted in axles. Rollers are engaged with working surface of lead screw thread. Nut is made as a holder with square through hole and its axis is aligned with lead screw axis. Lead screw has rectangular thread. Rollers are positioned inside square hole of nut, in hollows of lead screw thread, and axis of their rotation is perpendicular to screw axis. Working surfaces of rollers are made spherical. They provide for point contact with working surface of screw. Center of sphere is located on middle line of thread. Side surfaces of rollers are made conical. Catches are provided on nut. They are positioned in reciprocal recesses of tie-rod mounted along screw axis. EFFECT: higher reliability. 3 dwg
