SUBSTANCE: method involves testing sole materials by applying destructive compressive stress using modulus of elasticity of material under test as wear-resistance factor; calculating wear-resistance value from formula: O=1.1 , where O is wear-resistance, denier/mm; n is average shoe wear time, hours; E is modulus of elasticity, MPa.
