FIELD: agriculture, plant growing. SUBSTANCE: method involves sampling plant biomass from analyzed site at the phase of "spring tillering-onset of booting" where total content of nitrogen (as % of absolutely dry matter), phosphorus and potassium content in sample, nitrogen and phosphorus doses in fertilizers added in autumn are determined. Grain protein content is measured by the formula: Y (%) = 13.7-0.00922 d1 + 0.58478 d3 - 2.70180 d4 - 0.01864 d1,3 + 0.00701 d1,5 - 0.01350 d2,4 - 1.44354 d3,4 + + 0.48519 d3,5 + 1.09522 d4,5 where: d(1...5) - difference between level of factor effecting on protein accumulation x(1...5) and constant of the same factor k(1...5), i. e. d = x - K; Y - grain protein content of future yield, %; X1 - amount of nitrogen fertilizers added in autumn (kg/ha); X2 - amount of phosphorus fertilizers added in autumn (kg/ha); X3 - concentration of total nitrogen in biomass at the phase "spring tillering-onset of booting" (at stage IV of organogenesis), %; X4 - concentration of total phosphorus in biomass at stage IV of organogenesis, %; X5 - concentration of total potassium in biomass at stage IV of organogenesis, %; K1-K5 - level of constants of factors, namely: K1 - amount of nitrogen fertilizers = 54.43; K2 - amount of phosphorus fertilizers = =54.46; K3 - concentration of nitrogen in sample = 4.23; K4 - concentration of phosphorus in sample = 1.06; K5 - concentration of potassium in sample = 4.07.
