FIELD: devices for production of superfine mineral fibre. SUBSTANCE: blasting head includes cover with melt supply port; cover is fitted on body in form of sleeve with circular collector feeding the gaseous power carrier embracing it. Cover is provided with receiver transforming cross section of melt jet to tape-shaped section around port; it embraces horizontal loop-shaped tubular heat exchanger. Cavity of sleeve forms diffuser having shape of paraboloid bounding the fibre forming zone. Circular collector consists of series of sections with separate branch pipes for connection with high-pressure gas lines. Sections of circular collector are communicated with fibre forming zone by means of throughway passages formed in wall of sleeve; these passages are inclined relative to longitudinal axis of fibre forming zone. EFFECT: simplified construction of head; reduced power requirements; enhanced reliability. 5 cl, 4 dwg
