FIELD: leather industry. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for making cattle-skin upper leather. Process includes soaking in presence of neutral protease in quantity 0.05-0.08% of the weight of hide, supplementary enzymatic treatment with 0.1-0.3% of Skinasa preparation, pickling in presence of chromium salt in quantity 0.3-0.5% and hydrogen peroxide in quantity 3.0-5.0% of the weight of intermediate product, consumption of chrome tanner (on conversion to chromium oxide) being 1.8-1.9% of the weight of intermediate product.
