FIELD: railway track repair and maintenance machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: carriage has following components: frame mounted on running wheels, rail link lifting mechanism, protective beam, independent torsion-bar suspension units, device for adjustment of wheels according to track gauge, protective beam lock, two parking brakes, and safety chains. Each independent torsion-bar suspension unit takes the form of torsion pipe. Located inside torsion pipe is axle of running gear wheel equalizer and torsion shaft. Frame of carriage is made up of longitudinal, end-side, and central lateral beams. Each longitudinal beam has central part and two end-side parts. Central part and end-side parts of longitudinal beam are not equally distant from longitudinal axis of carriage. Aforesaid embodiment of carriage allows for reducing dynamic loads on running wheels and frame of carriage. It also allows for increasing travel speed and reducing probability of derailing of carriage. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 7 cl, 9 dwg
