FIELD: urban railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the driving swivel trucks of trams with a low floor level. The truck frame is formed by two longitudinal and two transverse beams. On the end parts of the wheel axles, bearings are installed in axle box housings. The hulls rest on the portals of the longitudinal beams by means of rubber-metal elastic elements. Drive gearboxes are located on the outside of the truck. The crankcases are made with a vertical split. The gearbox housing is fixed on the bearing housing and acts as its cover. The output gear of the reducer is fixed on the axle of the wheelset. The gearbox input shaft is connected to the motor shaft by an intermediate shaft. The gearbox crankcase is connected to the longitudinal beam portal by a horizontal link with elastic hinges. When turning the tram at small radii, its external drive gearbox does not go beyond the width of the car.
