FIELD: rail vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: drive wheel bogie of tram includes two wheel pairs 3 forming bogie wheel base; each wheel pair has axle with wheels secured immovably on it and axle boxes mounted on inner side of wheels with arched end sections raised relative to center part; bogie includes also transversal beams, frame 9 and reduction gear 10 of traction drive. Reduction gear is mounted at eccentricity relative to center plane of bogie exceeding half overall distance between external faces of wheels of wheel pair; it is articulated on end section of wheel pair at external side of wheel and is suspended from arched end section of longitudinal beam. Input unit of reduction gear is turned outside from wheel base and is brought out of axial dimension.
EFFECT: lowered level of tram floor; reduced noise; enhanced smoothness of running; reduced dynamic action; increased distance runs between overhauls; enhanced reliability and maintainability; increased service life.
