FIELD: construction and agriculture engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention particularly relates to design of drainage system in cultivated lawn. Lawn is built up of successively located base, drainage system, and earth layer. Base is made with slopes. Drainage system includes dewatering drains and draining layers. System incorporates longitudinal dewatering drain located over central longitudinal axis of lawn and lateral dewatering drains which are interconnected. Aforesaid slopes of base are made along or across or along and across longitudinal axis of lawn. If necessary, base of lawn can be covered with hydrolyzing materials. Entire drainage system is arranged in the form of dewatering drains or draining pipes located in base or in draining and filtration layers. Dewatering drains or draining pipes have incline of 0.1-3.0% for withdrawing water from surface of lawn. Dewatering drains and draining pipes can be filled or covered with draining and filtering materials. Used in function of draining and filtering materials for filling or covering of dewatering drains or draining pipes are such materials as crushed-stone, gravel, pebble, slags, sand, and other materials of organic or artificial origin. Dewatering drains and draining pipes are laid on base or in draining materials or covered by these materials in one or several layers. Draining pipes are made with holes or without them. Aforesaid design and arrangement of cultivated lawn ensure better conditions for development of grass on lawn, allow for quick branching away of rain and thawed water from lawn surface with achieving optimal quality characteristics of lawn sod. Invention affords cost-saving, simple and quick method of constructing cultivated lawn. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl, 4 dwg
