PRESSURE REGULATOR-GAS FLOW RATE LIMITER Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: hydro-pneumatic automation equipment. SUBSTANCE: pressure regulator-gas flow rate limiter is used for control and limiting of flow rate of natural gas across outlet of gas distribution stations. It has pilot-actuated controller on side gas inlet whose outlet is connected to inlet of throttling element made in the form of Venturi nozzle and installed in pipe- line downstream of regulator. Novelty of proposed pressure regulator lies in direct connection of nozzle inlet to outlet of pilot-actuated controller and of nozzle outlet to inlet of additional similar regulator. In this case regulators and nozzle are mounted uniaxially one after another and are arranged in single compact module composed of two operationally tested high-reliability pilot-actuated controllers of axial type. EFFECT: possibility of maintenance of pressure with simultaneous limiting of gas flow rate at level assigned for consumer with keeping of functional reliability and compactness of structure of regulator as whole. 2 dwg
