FIELD: transport engineering; automobile electrical equipment. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to methods and device to control windshield wiper motor. According to proposed method of wind-shield wiping, blade movement frequency is programmed for intermittent duty with memorizing of internal between last switch-controlled sweeps of blades. At intermittent operation, change-over to continuous operation of blades, and at continuous operation, change over to intermittent operation of blades with preservation of memorized preset value of pause between blade sweeps are set by manipulating with washer switch. Device to control windshield wiping system in automobile is furnished additionally with blade continuous operation ON/OFF combination detectors in form of logic circuits whose inputs are coupled with change-over switches connected with additionally introduced storage device for keeping information on continuous operation of wiper blades, OR gates and restart univibrator introduced into device, univibrator input being connected with washer switch. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities of windshield wiper system without changing automobile wiring and design of wire and washer control lever. 5 cl, 4 dwg
