FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: as distinct from known design windshield wipers, proposed device includes additionally moisture sensor, comparator with regulated threshold of action, motor switch relay and heater in control circuit. Moisture sensor is connected through comparator to control input of windshield wiper mode change-over relay whose switched circuits are placed between input and output of windshield wiper manual mode change-over unit. EFFECT: improved safety on road owing to provision of automatic operation of windshield wiper under any climatic and weather conditions. 2 dwg
