FIELD: shipbuilding; reduction of hydrodynamic resistance of ship's hulls. SUBSTANCE: method consists in forming rated bulbous shape in underwater fore portion of ship. This shape is formed from cylinders in recess of fore portion; generatrix of these cylinders corresponds to rated shape over edges of cylinders. It is good practice to make recess narrowing from fore portion and to connect its channel with surface of ship's hull. EFFECT: improved service characteristics of ship. 2 cl
