FIELD: deposition by electroplating of several layers on articles of magnesium and its alloys to ensure their various functional properties. SUBSTANCE: process includes degreasing, washing, etching, contact galvanizing, deposition of copper sublayer from alkaline cyanic electrolyte and deposition of finishing electroplating. Prior to etching article is treated with heat, oxide film is removed and dehydrated. Film of magnesium fluoride is formed on surface of article before contact galvanizing. Technical objective of invention lies in possibility of deposition of metal coats on articles made by both milling and soldering in melt of salts, in provision of articles with corrosion protection against various climatic factors, hardness and wear resistance and in provision of HF and SHF conductance and possibility of erecting and assembly operations by soldering with soft solders.
