FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to chemical-thermal processing of metal parts, and can be used to protect metal parts from corrosion. Zinc impregnation method of metal parts includes preliminary preparation of the parts surface and application of protective coating by zinc impregnation in vacuum. Zinc layer is applied in inert gas medium, while before zinc coating application on the prepared surface of metal articles they are coated with nickel sublayer of maximum 3-5 µm thickness by galvanic method, and after applying the said zinc layer metal products are cooled in inert gas medium.
EFFECT: required effective thickness of the protective coating is reduced due to higher rate of the coating corrosion protection while reducing the risk of the coating hydrogen absorption when articles are used in aggressive environment due to reduced porosity of the film.
