FIELD: study of materials. SUBSTANCE: method is good for nondestructive test of thermophysical characteristics of materials with use of point source of heat. Two point pulse sources of heat are placed on heat- insulated surface of tested material. Temperature-sensitive element is positioned on line of location of sources. Sequence of heat pulses with repetition period τ from first point source of heat is used to determine thermophysical characteristics of material, then second point source of heat starts to operate in step with first source. First excessive temperature and doubled first excessive temperature are achieved and steady-state power of heat source is registered. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurement of thermophysical characteristics of materials , decreased energy consumption. 2 dwg
