BIOGEOCHEMICAL EXPLORATION METHOD Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2150722 C1

FIELD: geological exploration. SUBSTANCE: method is designed for geochemical exploration of gold and other metals' fields on territories characterizing by the presence of birch to increase contrast of gold anomalies compared to its background concentrations. Method consists in that, on specified territory, one collects equal-area strips of bark from lower parts of stems of wart and flat-leaf species of birch with diameter 20-30 cm. Samples are then ashed and ashes are analyzed for content of minerals indicative of mineralization. Results of analysis are the duly interpreted to reveal searched anomalies. EFFECT: facilitated exploration. 2 cl
