FIELD: automatic control. SUBSTANCE: method involves measurement of absolute value of input signal, which is proportional to regulation error, comparison of this value to threshold value. When absolute value of input signal is not greater than threshold value, then method involves integration of input signal. Otherwise, if absolute value is greater than threshold value, then method involves integration of difference of input signal and signal, which is proportional to result of integration, adding input signal to integration result and scaling sum. In each case, when absolute value of input signal is greater than threshold value, method involves measurement of its duration τ1 and durations τi, i = 2,...,n for next n-1 excesses, which conform to condition τi∈ Td,, where Td is given time. Then method involves checking conditions τ1≥ Td and τ1≤ τ2≤...≤ τn. When one of these conditions holds, system emergency signal is generated.
