SEEDING UNIT OF COMBINED DRILL Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: seeding unit has frame carrying hopper and seeding unit hung to lower part of hopper on suspenders and provided with drive. Fertilizer container is embraced with seed container and positioned in center of seeding unit. Each container has three throats, i.e., central throat for fertilizer and two outer throats for seeds. Throats are arranged inside seeding unit housing. Seeding unit is divided by means of vertical walls into three sections, i.e. central section for fertilizer and two outer sections for seeds. Sections have common bottom with seeding holes arranged in a row. Faceplates put onto bottom part in each section have similar holes individually connected with regulating devices. Combined seed guide tips are fixed to seeding unit underside below seeding holes. Each central fertilizer tube of tip is connected to two adjacent outer seed tubes. Such construction allows different crop seeds and fertilizer to be simultaneously sown. EFFECT: simplified construction and wider operational capabilities. 2 cl, 5 dwg
