FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to selection of winter soft wheat strains with large amount of spikelets in ear. Invention involves pollination of summer soft wheat flowers (2n = 42) with pollen of its wild relative Aegilops speltoides (2n = 14) irradiated preliminary by gamma-rays in a dose 10 kR and isolation of asymmetric hybrids of matromorphic type (2n = 49), selection of euploid recombinant strains showing homozygosity by wintering recessive genes (2n = 42) with large amount of spikelets in ear among hybrid progeny in spring period of their sowing. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of use of distant hybrids of soft wheat. 1 tbl, 1 dwg
