FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wheat selection showing resistance to damage with mildew and brown leaf rust and development of wheat strains with disomic-added with foreign chromosomes from winter soft wheat strains with high content of crude protein in grains. Invention involves pollination of summer soft wheat flowers (2n = 42) with pollen of its wild relative Aegilops speltoides (2n = 14) irradiated by gamma-rays in a dose 10 kR and isolation of matromorphic asymmetric sexual hybrid F1 (2n = 49), selection of disomic-added strains (2n = 44) showing winter type of development in hybrid population of the second and the following generations in spring sowing and in self-pollination and showing resistance to sickness damage. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of use of summer soft wheat hybrids with its wild relative, Aegilops speltoides. 3 tbl
