FIELD: medicine, pediatry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to infectious diseases and can be used for treatment of children with infectious mononucleosis. Method involves complex medicinal symptomatic and pathogenetic therapy with additional rectal administration of realdiron in a dose 500 000 IU for children of age 3-7 years and in a dose 1 000 000 IU for children above 7 years, twice per a day at break for 12 h for 7 days. Alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E) and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) are given simultaneously in age dosage. Method ensures to eliminate immunodepression induced by Epstein-Barr virus. EFFECT: decreased period of disease and amount of residual symptoms in recovered patients. 2 ex
