METHOD OF TREATING INFECTIOUS MONONUCLEOSIS IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01N33/48 A61K31/495 A61P31/12

Abstract RU 2830401 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to infectious diseases, and can be used for treating infectious mononucleosis (IM) in children. Method involves drug therapy, namely agents of antiviral, pathogenetic, symptomatic therapy. After IM is diagnosed by flow cytometry, phagocytic index (PI) is determined and the phagocytic number (PN) in the neutrophil phagocytosis reaction and the neutrophil antibacterial activity index is calculated by formula IAAN = PI × PN, where IAAN is an index of antibacterial activity of neutrophils, PI is a phagocytic index,%, PN is a phagocytic number. If the IAAN is equal to or less than 181.14, in the acute period of the disease, the preparation of azoximer bromide is administered intranasally or sublingually daily in a daily dose of 0.15 mg/kg, 1–3 drops 2–4 times day for 10 days, and if the IAAN value is higher than 181.14, the treatment is carried out only with the help of antiviral, pathogenetic, symptomatic therapy.

EFFECT: use of the invention enables to implement a personalized approach to the choice of a method of treating IM, individually and in a timely manner to select a therapeutic approach to treating IM and avoiding polypharmacy.
