FIELD: water treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for supplying with drinking water consumers disposed in limited-time residences or requiring no significant water amounts, in particular small residences, or for supplying water under emergency conditions (for example, when consumer is suddenly disconnected from water-supply network). Water is preliminarily cleaned and then undergoes first ozonation step, electrocoagulation, second ozonation step, and finishing purification. Preliminarily, level of ozone-degradable impurities is determined. In the first and second ozonation steps, amount of generated ozone exceeds its required amount no more than by 7%. Finishing purification is performed by assistance of consortium of microorganisms containing those typical for given territory. EFFECT: improved quality of treated water. 13 cl, 1 dwg
