FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining phosphatidylinositol triphosphate level in the whole blood by applying horizontal flow-type chromatography. Phosphatidylinositol-triphosphate phosphorus being found in the amount of 0.1-0.08 nMole per 1 mg of protein, benign hyperplasia of the prostate is to be diagnosed. The value of 0.04-0.01 nMole per 1 mg of protein being found, prostate cancer diagnosis is to be set. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of differential diagnosis.
