FIELD: agriculture, in particular, equipment for separating cork and bark from licorice roots and rootstock for further usage of separated material as medicinal raw material. SUBSTANCE: cleaning apparatus has frame 1, clamping conveyor 2, root position stabilizers 4, main and auxiliary pairs of rotors 3,6 positioned in parallel with clamping conveyor 2 and provided with working members. Clamping conveyor 2 has endless V-belts 7, 8 mounted in grooves of driving and driven pulleys 9, 10 one above the other. Auxiliary endless run 11 on outer surface of lower V-belt 7 is joined with its continuous surface to outer surface of lower V-belt 7. Each licorice root stabilizer 4 is made in the form of strip positioned for movement in vertical plane and is fixed on frame members of clamping conveyor 2.
