FIELD: railway transport; checking facilities. SUBSTANCE: device relates to measuring facilities and can be used for noncontact measurements of spatial deflections of rail from straight line in one or several planes. Device has mechanical part for fastening measuring sensors, mechanisms for moving the rail through, path impulse sensors at inlet and outlet of measuring set, operational unit, radio frequency sensors for noncontact measurement of distance to rail surface and markers for automatic rejection of product. Operational unit automatically monitors parameters of radio frequency sensors for bringing measurement errors to minimum. Straightness of moving rail is calculated analytically depending on value of current clearances between fixed radio frequency sensors and rail surfaces under checking.
