FIELD: measurement technology, contact-free measurement of deviation of surfaces of long narrow objects from straight direction across specified section in flow. SUBSTANCE: device testing rectilinearity of surface has three sources of optical radiation as minimum placed at distance of 1.5 m one from another, each being optically coupled to one of receivers, support for measured rail that includes mechanism for translation of measured rail, upper and lower blades limiting luminous flux passing from sources of optical radiation to proper receivers and forming standard photometric signal while each sensor is calibrated. Operational unit processes and computes ordinates of roll surface of rail with appearance of measured rail in testing zone which are later used in the capacity of initial information to compute deviations of surface from rectilinearity by operational unit. EFFECT: improved reliability of test of rectilinearity of great number of elongated objects in process of their translation over transportation roller table. 1 dwg
