FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to diagnostics of railway rails, in particular to methods and devices for contactless control of cross-section profile, straightness and twisting of moving railway rails during their production and at rail welding plants. To control the geometrical parameters of the moving railway rail, on the frame located around the moving rail, optical measuring units are installed, including triangulation 2D scanners, an optical subsystem for reading the identification marking on the rail web, an encoder which determines the speed of the rail and the coordinate along the length of the rail, ambient temperature sensor, rail availability sensors, paint markers for sorting rails and a control and computing system consisting of five control controllers, an industrial PC and an operator workstation. Outputs of 14 triangulation 2D scanners located on a single rigid frame around the moving rail with the possibility of scanning the full profile of the rail cross section are connected to the first inputs of the full profile, straightness and twist controllers. Optical reading subsystem identifies the marking on the rail web. Outputs of rail presence sensors and temperature sensor are connected to inputs of industrial computer, to outputs of this computer are connected controllers controlling paint markers for grading rails, and a personal operator workstation computer providing communication with a corporate database. Personal workstation computer generates rail electronic passport.
EFFECT: as a result, a device and a method for controlling geometrical parameters of moving rails during their production and at rail welding plants with automatic assessment of deviations of measured rail parameters from standard ones with subsequent sorting of rails depending on the degree of deviation are created.
