RAILWAY CROSSING GUARD MEMBER Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; closing of railway crossing when train approaches the crossing. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has rolled section cover with fitted on solid sheet. Cover is hinge-mounted on support base across motor road flush with its pavement. Base is mounted on foundation. Bracket with fitted-on counterweight is connected with drive rack by means of tie-rod. Guard member can be arranged at rights-side or left-side. Cover is freely suspended from hinge joints of support base. Each joint is made in form of shaft with fitted-on bushing. Guard member has drive shaft fitted in bearings of base and covered with solid sheet from top. Removable bracket of counterweight is installed at one side of drive shaft, and at other side, removable bracket of cover is mounted. One end of shock absorber is fitted n bracket of support base, and other end, in rotary bushing of counterweight lever. Shock absorber includes guides and slider with friction cover plates connected with rod. EFFECT: increased reliability and repairability, reduced labour input at assembling and disassembling. 8 dwg
