PROCESS OF EXCAVATION OF THICK GENTLY DIPPING COAL SEAM AND GEAR FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry, underground excavation of coal. SUBSTANCE: process of excavation of thick gently dipping coal seam includes excavation of parallel chambers by forward move and liquidation of pillar by backward move, 180 degree turn of support in chamber to pillar at end of excavation field, excavation of coal in faces of two chambers with division into upper and lower benches with 1.5- 2.0 m advance of lower bench. After forward move support is turned to pillar between chambers. Pneumatic coal feeding lines are brought from chambers to center of face of liquidation of pillar. Gear for implementation of given process has single-row tori, picking tools in the form of cutter and closed flexible hoses of movement of tori and picking tools to face. Row of picking tools is put on strip, tail part of double duct drum and flexible hose passed over drum impart picking tools with reciprocating motion. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of operation for separation of coal and movement of supports. 3 cl, 12 dwg
